KATE ENGLER Lead Vocals/Guitar

In 1999, after a ten year hiatus from the music scene and new to the blues, Kate Engler was drawn to the energy of it's soulful sound. She began listening and playing to the likes of Debbie Davies, Susan Tedeschi, and Etta James, Kate began stepping up and sitting in with local bands.

In 2002, Kate branched out to form her own band: KATE ENGLER BAND. She recorded "Breakin All The Rules" which enjoyed local airplay. That year Kate and her band were nominated for 5 categories in the Buffalo Music Awards.

For the next decade, Kate has dominated "Top Blues Female Vocalist" -Buffalo Music Awards,. The years have brought many awards and accolades.

Today, Kate is still a hard working blues woman who commands attention whether she is behind the guitar or using her wireless to involve the crowd. Her years of experience and natural stage ability make her a captivating and thoroughly entertaining performer, one that shouldn't be missed.

The Kate Engler Band is blues at its best!!! With new members and a new show, the band is tearing up Buffalo and WNY.

As vocalist, rhythm guitarist and leader of the band, Kate Engler has been a strong force in the WNY Blues Scene. She was recently the recipient of Buffalo Music Award - "Top Blues Vocalist" for 2009...an award she has dominated for the last decade. Kate is a singer, player, and songwriter whose stage energy and rare gift of relating to the audience makes for a terrific show.
